Shaoxing is among the first bath of the famous cities of China’s history and culture and the first group of China’s excellent tourist cities. And it is an ancient city located in the mid-north part of Zhejiang Province with a history of nearly 2500 years.

The city of Shaoxing covers 8256 square kilometers. It has six administrative divisions, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing County, Shangyu City, Shengzhou City, Xinchang County, and Zhuji City with a population of 4,340,000. Downtown of Shaoxing covers 339 square kilometers, including 640,000 citizens. It has a tropical and subtropical humid monsoon climate, it has a rainfall of 1300 millimeter annually. It is north of Qiantang River with meandering Chao'e River across it, and is a famous watery region in south China.
